Amanda Switzer
Amanda is a partner, a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and has over 15 years’ experience of advising both trustees and sponsors on a range of DB and DC pension matters.
As Scheme Actuary, Amanda advises DB clients on a joined-up approach to contribution, benefit and investment strategies. She helps to identify long-term funding objectives and allow scheme risks to be quantified, monitored and managed effectively. She has advised and guided trustees through funding negotiations, corporate transactions, benefit changes and risk transfer transactions over the years.
Amanda also provides strategic advice to DC clients including helping to identify objectives, reviewing the appropriateness of scheme design and advising on effective communication strategy to maximise member engagement.
In addition to her client commitments, Amanda sits on our firm-wide oversight board that ensures our business strategy is delivered in line with the culture and values of our Firm. Amanda also has a keen interest and involvement in career development and is People Leader for the Glasgow practice.
