Buy-outs, buy-ins and longevity hedging – H1 2023

In this update, we take a look at the latest changes to the buy-out, buy-in and longevity hedging market.
The total value of buy-out and buy-in deals struck in H1 2023 was around £21.2 billion, the highest for the first half of a calendar year and the second-highest ever recorded for a six-month period. The total number of transactions in the first half of 2023 was 96.
