ON-DEMAND

A spotlight on the Gender Pensions Gap in the LGPS

28 Oct 2022

The Gender Pensions Gap is estimated to be over twice the size of the Gender Pay Gap. In the past three years, we've seen research conducted to better understand the Gender Pensions Gap across workplace pensions. This gap is driven by pension policy, employment inequalities and societal disparities. And from our recent analysis, we recognise this challenge also exists within the LGPS.

For our latest webinar, we explored the Gender Pensions Gap in the LGPS and were delighted to be joined by Lauren Wilkinson from the Pensions Policy Institute. We discussed:

  • The size of the Gender Pensions Gap in the LGPS
  • What may be causing the Gender Pensions Gap
  • What policy changes may help reduce the gap

Don't worry if you were unable to join live, sign up now and you'll be able to access the webinar on-demand.
