Keynote Speaker

We're pleased to invite Riffat Tufail to speak at our event. Riffat is an experienced financial services professional and is Head of Customer Vulnerability at Standard Life.

Riffat leads a Vulnerable Customer Centre of Excellence which supports colleagues to deliver good outcomes and experiences for all customers, including those in vulnerable circumstances. She has volunteered with the Princes Trust, mentoring young disadvantaged men impacted by the lack of social mobility, trained as a professional counsellor and is working with Samaritans on how they can improve the reach of their vital listening service.

Riffat is driven by helping to build a society where everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, is treated with care and compassion when they need help. In her presentation, Riffat will explore various topics on vulnerability, including the scale and drivers of vulnerability, what vulnerable customers need from firms, the FCA’s expectations and best practice from financial services firms.
