The first ever National Knowledge Assessment (NKA) launched last month. Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the challenges that this has brought, we're extending the assessment into May to give your Fund the opportunity to participate. 

We're very pleased with the number of funds already taking part and the high number of completed assessments we've received from Pension Committee (PC) and Pension Board (PB) members.

The assessment will not only identify individual PC and PB knowledge and understanding but, also, and importantly, how relevant knowledge and different skills are spread across your key decision-makers. The assessment will also provide you with the opportunity to benchmark the knowledge of your PC and PB against other LGPS funds.

What are the benefits?

As a reminder, by participating in the assessment, your Fund will receive:

• Our analysis and suggested next steps
• Your benchmarked position against other LGPS funds
• A recommended training plan tailored for your PC and PB

How long will the assessment take?

Completion of the survey will take 15 - 20 minutes for each PC or PB member and will be an important step in helping you understand where to focus future training requirements for your fund, and the LGPS as a whole.
