Hymans Robertson's Investment Practice consists of around 100 people across four offices and has an annual revenue of around £17M. It is firmly established as a UK market leader wirh services and solutions tailored to reflect the client's specific circumstances and requirements. Our Consultants are encouraged to be innovative, without restrictions. We have opportunities available for consultants at all levels but in this blog we focus on our requirement for a Senior Investment Consultant with strong people skills in the London office. Our Practice Leader Julie MacDonald tells us more below and in the video.
Why was this Senior Investment Consultant role created and what does it entail?
Our people are extremely important to us, they are key to our success. This role was created to provide a specific focus on our people within the Investment Practice in our London Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the people agenda, ensuring that we play to individual’s strengths and have the right people in the right roles in order for us to continue to offer exceptional service to our clients; as well as, ensuring our people are engaged and enjoy coming to work each day. In addition to this they will maintain strong communication links across the team and will play a pivotal role in developing individual’s skills sets through coaching and mentoring.
There is also the consultancy aspect to the role, whereby the successful candidate will be expected to lead a portfolio of Investment clients. The role will comprise of a 50/50 split between people leadership and investment consulting.
Tell us more about the type of person you are seeking?
This role will suit someone with strong people leadership skills and experience in an investment consultancy role. The ideal person will have a passion for developing others and will have the ability to engage colleagues through their motivational and enthusiastic approach. We need someone who can influence change and bring people with them on that journey. As the team in London gets bigger we need to ensure we are communicating and organising ourselves effectively, so strong communication skills will also be important.
