Phase II report now available
Earlier this year, we presented the Good Governance Report to the Scheme Advisory Board (SAB). Following this, the SAB agreed to take forward our findings and conclusions to improve governance in the LGPS.
Two working groups were established to take forward the proposals outlined in the report and were asked to:
1. Standard and Outcomes Workstream
Clearly set out the outcomes and standards that the SAB wishes to see achieved by funds, and how these outcomes should be evidenced.
2. Compliance and Improvement Workstream
Focus on establishing the compliance regime that will require independent assessment of funds against the framework.
You can now download the Phase II report here, or from the SAB website. This was prepared for the SAB by both working groups and includes detailed implementation proposals, and the changes needed to the statutory governance guidance to implement this framework.

We're pleased to continue supporting the SAB with Phase III of this work which will identify KPIs and develop the draft guidance required to implement these proposals.
